Brotherhood

The foundation of our Fraternity is Friendship. DMM implements many initiatives throughout the year to strengthen the bonds of friendship among its members and visiting Brothers. These programs run the gamut from Salsa Night at a local restaurant with spouses and significant others to a March Madness Set Owt at a local bar in Sandy Springs. Additionally, after each monthly Fraternity meeting, dinner is served to Brothers in attendance to foster fellowship after taking care of the business of Omega.

Michael Pittman
Omega Man of the Year

Michael is passionate about mentoring young people, especially young black men, through the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Delta Mu Mu Chapter. He has worked as Chair of the Black Rhinos Mentoring program from 2018 through 2023, implementing innovative programming and curriculum that have changed the lives of young black men enrolled in the program. He also serves as a member of the governing board of Commitment to Excellence, a 501c3 nonprofit, for 6 years.

James Vincent Jr.
Superior Service

James has been a pillar of DMM, serving with the Scholarship Committee – Career Fair, Social Action – Habitat for Humanity, Sundresses & Seersuckers VIP Experience Tent, Annual Cookout setup, and Annual Retreat transportation. His role as co-chair of the Black Rhinos Mentoring program has been instrumental, where he led, coached, and managed communications, logistics, administration, and the Rhino Cup. James is currently the Parliamentarian of DMM and an active member of the Black Rhinos committee.

Alonza "Sol" Solomon
Founders Lifetime Achievement

A 49-year member of Omega, Sol has held various committee and leadership positions at the local, state, and district levels in the Fraternity. He served as Vice Basileus while serving with Delta Omega in Petersburg, VA, and Basileus and Vice Basileus of Kappa Alpha Alpha in Decatur, GA. At DMM, Sol served as Parliamentarian and has been an active member of the Social Action, Black Rhino, Nominating, Scholarship, and Achievement Week committees. He currently spearheads the Chapter’s partnership with Lady T Homeless Ministry.
